Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Painter to join our team in Anaconda, MT. You will perform paint preparation, spray- booth painting, and finish quality to meet specifications.

Responsibilities include mixing primers and paints, maintaining equipment, surface prep, operating spray equipment, reading prints, and ensuring safety and punctuality. On-site contract-to-hire with benefits available after eligibility.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of painting experience.
• Ability to read measuring tape down to 1/16".
• Knowledge of paint, painting materials, and characteristics.
• Ability to use tools in an elevated position, above head.
• Must have the ability to grasp and maintain grip for long periods with power tools, such as paint guns and air nozzles.

• Conduct all surface preparation tasks, including body filling, glazing, sanding, scuffing, and cleaning.
• Set up, adjust, and operate automatic spray equipment and bake cycles, ensuring coating thickness meets specifications.
• Interpret and follow prints, sketches, instructions, procedures, and applicable military/commercial specifications.
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Engineering, Operations, and other departments throughout production.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.
• Ensure punctuality for work, meetings, and all scheduled activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaconda, MT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
