Job Responsibilities
- Complete a full range of journeyman-level duties involving the application of paint, wallpaper, or vinyl coverings to various surfaces, including walls, partitions, and office furniture across the Capitol Complex.
- Estimate material requirements and supplies, maintain records of special mixes, and select proper tools and equipment while adhering to safety measures.
- Work independently to accomplish tasks, seeking guidance from supervisors on unusual situations.
- Shovel and remove snow and ice from entrances, walkways, steps, and other areas using salt, sand, or deicing agents, and operate spreaders and snow blowers.
- Participate in departmental activities that support diversity, employee well-being, and professional growth.
Additional Information
- Work Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is essential; reporting for emergencies and office closings is required.
- Telework is not available for this role.
- Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Completion of the Building Trades Trainee program, or
- Three years of experience in the painting trade, or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- Possession of a motor vehicle license is required.
