Job summary

Aerotek in Hayden, ID is seeking a Contract to Hire Painter for commercial construction sites. You will apply paint and coatings with rollers, brushes, and spray equipment, back roll for even coverage, and mask areas to protect surfaces from overspray.

This onsite role requires at least 1 year of painting experience in construction, proficiency with rollers and brushes, HVLP spray guns, and the ability to coordinate with drywall trades.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint and coatings to walls and other surfaces on commercial construction projects using rollers, brushes, and spray guns.
• Back roll painted surfaces to ensure even coverage, proper adhesion, and a professional finish.
• Tape off and mask adjacent areas to protect surfaces from overspray, drips, and unintended paint coverage.
• Use hand tools and painting equipment correctly and safely throughout the workday.
• Work as part of a small team to complete painting tasks on schedule and keep pace with the drywall team and other trades.
• Follow project specifications, color standards, and instructions to achieve the required finish and appearance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of painting materials and tools.
• Inspect completed work for quality, touch up as needed, and communicate any issues or material needs to the team.
• Adhere to all site safety rules and commercial construction job site protocols.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of painting experience in a construction environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayden, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
