Job summary

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in Gatlinburg, TN is seeking a Painter to prepare and paint designated areas throughout the resort. You will protect surfaces, apply primers, and use guns, rollers, or brushes to achieve high-quality finishes.

The role requires strong English communication, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and the discipline to work independently while maintaining safety and cleanliness on site.

Qualifications

  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year painting experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for paint and protect surfaces with drop cloths and masking tape.
  • Apply primer or mildewcide where needed and paint exterior or interior areas.
  • Use paint gun, roller, or brush; apply caulking as required.
  • Mix paint to achieve desired color and set up ladders/scaffolding.
  • Maintain neat, safe work areas and communicate guest needs effectively.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to policies.

Job Description

As a Painterat Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa, who takes pride in your workmanship, you will be responsible for preparing and painting designated areas as assigned for every aspect of the resort.

As a Painter, you will:

  • Prepareall surfaces for paint, uses drop cloths and masking tape to protect surfaces
  • Applyprimer or mildewcide prior to paint where needed
  • Applypaint to prepared exterior or interior surfaces by use of paint gun, roller, or brush
  • Applycaulking where needed
  • Applyconcrete stain to walkways and entrances
  • Mixpaint to achieve desired color
  • Set up and use ladders and/or scaffolding
  • Leave work area in safe, neat clean conditions
  • Ability to communicate and interpret guest needs by positively interacting towards resolutions
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal to no supervision or support
  • Must comply with all CFI policies and procedures
  • Must represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Associate's Handbook

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of one year of related painting experience is required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and frequently stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to work with moving and vibrating mechanical parts, tools, and equipment and in outdoor weather conditions
