Job summary

Omni Corpus Christi Hotel in the Marina District invites you to join our team as a Server. You will greet guests, guide selections from our menu, and deliver warm, attentive service that reflects Omni’s coastal hospitality and high standards.

We seek at least 1 year of serving experience in a high-volume casual environment, plus knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer. You’ll upsell, coordinate with the culinary team, handle payments, and help ensure every guest leaves delighted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of serving experience in a high-volume casual environment.
• Must adhere to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC or obtain upon hire.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
• Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
• Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
• Send orders using MICROS systems.
• Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allegories, dietary needs and special requests.
• Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
• Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for restaurant as needed.
• Cross train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
