Job Title: Coating technician

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Shift: 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Masks or unmasks various products and parts for painting or selective plating.
• Interprets blueprints, work instructions, both written and verbal instructions, to determine the most effective procedures for masking various products.
• Uses masking tape, paint, various types of wax and protective devices to selectively mask off certain sections of parts and/or units that are to be painted or plated.
• Uses various hand tools such as punches, scissors, brushes, knives, or razor blades to cut and remove tape.
• Position protective coatings on parts or units in accordance with instructions.
• Removes tape, wax, paint and other protective coatings after selective painting or plating process has been completed.
• Touches up paint damaged parts using a brush.
• Adheres to all processing specifications necessary to achieve blueprint requirements and quality of the hardware.
• Demonstrates excellent safety practices and habits to assure all rules are obeyed and implemented.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Performs other related duties as required.
