Job summary

Aerotek in Valencia, CA is seeking an experienced Painter to prepare and paint aircraft surfaces and ground support equipment. You will follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines while achieving high-quality finishes.

The role requires 3+ years of aerospace painting experience, proficient use of spray equipment, and strict attention to safety and quality standards. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite position with a 2nd shift schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of aerospace painting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare aircraft metal and other surfaces for painting, including complex preparation tasks.
  • Proficiency in applying lacquers, primers, synthetic enamels, polyurethane, and epoxy coatings.
  • Skilled in using spray guns, brushes, and rollers for precision painting work.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, technical specifications, and safety information.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on finish quality and adherence to aerospace standards.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and proper handling of paints, solvents, and equipment.
  • Ability to work reliably on a 2nd shift schedule (approximately 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM).

  • Paint ground support equipment to specified standards and ensure consistent, high-quality finishes.
  • Read, understand, and comply with written instructions, technical documentation, and safety information related to each job.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while operating spray guns and other painting tools.
  • Inspect completed work for defects, proper coverage, and adherence to quality and aerospace requirements.
  • Maintain painting tools, spray equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and operational condition.
  • Work effectively on 2nd shift to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of valencia, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
