Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paint Company in the Knoxville area is seeking a Store Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist both retail and contractor customers with product recommendations, color matching, and order support, while ensuring accurate payments and timely delivery of orders.

You will report to the Store Manager and help drive sales while maintaining a clean, organized store.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required and must pass background checks/physical.
• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor with customers.
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support.
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours, including varying shifts as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely; standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, crouching.
• Ability to operate a hand truck or material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing.
• Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications.
• Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when needed.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed.
