Default Brand is seeking a Store Assistant Manager for our California location. The role supports the Store Manager, coaching and directing team members to ensure outstanding customer service and efficient store operations. Must be available for opening or closing shifts and weekends, with potential for advancement.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in customer-facing sales/service, plus a bachelor’s degree preferred. Paint store or construction retail management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience dealing directly with customers in a sales and service environment.
• Recent paint store/construction-related retail management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assigns job duties to team members and directs their work.
• Trains store team members on duties and customer service.
• Ranks team members' performance.
• Administers store safety program.
• Manages the store part-time recruiting project.
• Reports procedure or policy violations and takes corrective measures.
• Maintains professional store appearance and product displays.
• Meets weekly with management to address operational issues.
• Performs banking operations.
• Maintains dress and appearance standards.
• Capable of performing all job classifications under supervision.
