Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to work with the Store Manager to organize, plan, and implement strategies in a Sherwin-Williams paint store, supporting customer service, merchandising, inventory, finances, and safety.

You will supervise and train staff, contact customers to generate sales leads, and help maintain store conditions and promotions. The role typically involves 44 hours per week, with evenings/weekends possible, and offers a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Support business strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Build and maintain knowledge of all products to provide effective recommendations.
• Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Complete store administration and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.
• Maintain store condition and visual merchandising, including promotions and displays.
• Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
• Respond to and resolve customer and employee complaints.
• Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
