Job summary

ES Utilities South Dakota-USA is seeking a meticulous QC Inspector to inspect ambulance paint finishes, identify defects, and verify corrective actions before shipment. The role requires reading and following detailed instructions and collaborating with production teams.

You will maintain production tracking, perform road tests, report deficiencies, and train new inspectors, while adhering to OSHA/EPA standards and hazardous materials procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize quality standards in paint finishes.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and other instructions related to paint specifications.
• Knowledge of paint measuring devices, including thickness gauges.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common paint defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Previous experience in automotive or industrial painting inspection preferred.
• OSHA and EPA standards knowledge related to paint and hazardous materials.
• Hazardous Materials handling training with annual refreshers.
• Familiarization with hazardous waste contingency plans and spill response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive and road test ambulances.

• Road and function test ambulances.
• Final cosmetic sign-off of emergency vehicles.
• Inspect and test all ambulances received.
• Report warrantable items and verify options to orders.
• Complete a cosmetic tag.
• Train new inspectors.
• Adhere to company conduct和 attendance rules.
• Follow departmental work instructions.
• Notify supervisor/lead of maintenance issues.
