Job summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles, part of Terex Corporation, seeks a Quality Inspector to inspect ambulances before shipment, perform electrical tests and cosmetic inspections, and document results. The role requires reading schematics, basic 12-volt knowledge, and clear written/verbal English communication.

You will work with minimal supervision, rotate through inspection gates, and assist in quality and production improvements while supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; additional qualifications a plus.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with basic 12-volt electrical systems.
• Good PC skills with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished ambulances for defects and conformance to standards.
• Perform electrical load tests, function tests, and road tests.
• Carry out electrical and cosmetic inspections.
• Document results in reports and logs; input data into quality database.
• Assist quality supervisor with improvements to quality and production processes.
• Schedule work priorities to meet production goals.
• Communicate issues effectively to team members.
