Job summary

Leader Ambulance in Southern California is seeking an experienced Bodyworker to perform paint prep and body work for Type 1–Type 3 ambulances. You will sand, prime, and finish surfaces to achieve high-quality results while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to QA/QC, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include sealing seams, degreasing areas, sanding, masking, filling dents, and operating spray primers.

Qualifications

• Experience in paint prep and body repair in production settings.
• Ability to read simple instructions and follow QA/QC standards.
• Familiarity with OSHA/EPA standards and chemical safety.

Responsibilities

• Seal seams and prepare products for painting.
• Wipe areas with degreaser and sand/scuff for paint.
• Grind welds and fill with body filler; buff and polish.
• Mask edges and protect areas not being painted.
• Remove tape after painting and drying; inspect for defects.
• Mix and apply primers; clean equipment and paint guns.
