Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Charlotte, NC is seeking a production operator to set up, run and maintain manufacturing equipment for paint and coatings, mix and grind liquids, and ensure safety and cleanliness on a daily basis.

The role includes weekend night shifts with a $2.50/hour differential, maintaining production records, performing basic repairs, monitoring quality, and collaborating with other teams to meet production schedules. Bonus eligibility is part of the compensation plan.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Operate paint-making control systems and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prebatch and inspect tickets.
• Operate drop stations and meters (water, TiO2, slurry).
• Follow batch slip instructions and monitor batch for proper grind or mix.
• Measure tanks for yield and monitor materials for quality.
• Keep logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain production records and collaborate across departments to meet orders on time.
