Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a mechanically skilled technician to join our manufacturing team in North Carolina. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support daily output and quality goals.

Safety, cleanliness, and productive work habits are essential as you handle a variety of machines and building systems. The role offers a weekend day shift 6:00am–6:30pm with a $0.75/hour shift differential and bonus eligibility based on performance.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Order and install replacement parts for machines.
Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer.
Maintain documentation as required.
Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
Maintain technical knowledge through training.
