Job summary

APEL Extrusions, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Paint Department Manager to lead scheduling, staffing, and operations of the paint line, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with customer service, production control, and shipping, and drive continuous improvement across paint processes. This leadership role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/plant environment.
• 2+ years overseeing industrial paint or coatings operations preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Experience with scheduling and materials management (MRP, JIT, forecasting, logistics) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and staff the Paint Department to meet production plans.
• Direct inbound and outbound logistics with detailed planning.
• Lead material planning, production scheduling, and product shipment.
• Develop capacity optimization tools and standardize processes.
• Collaborate with Operations/Plant Manager and suppliers to secure materials.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance in paint operations.
