Job summary

DaikyoNishikawa USA, Inc. is seeking a Paint Process Engineer in Kentucky to lead water-based primer/base coat and 2K clear coat programs.

You will drive process development, PFMEA standards, and training for production teams, collaborating with engineering, suppliers, and quality to meet safety, cost, and quality targets. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of water-based paints, solid experience with FANUC robotics, and a proven track record in automotive paint shop environments.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Water-based Primer/Base Coat and 2K Clear Coat processes.
  • Support paint program start-up from concept to volume ramp-up.
  • Develop and implement paint process quality control plans for water-based primer/base coat and 2K clear coat.
  • Forge cross-functional relationships with engineering, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead Color Harmony reviews with Internal Quality and Customer Paint Quality teams.
  • Develop and implement Paint PFMEA standards and policies.
  • Coordinate launch activities and trials with Product and Plant Engineering.
  • Develop training programs for production associates.
  • Identify and implement tools, equipment, and processes to improve quality and efficiency.
