OPmobility is seeking a Paint Process Engineer in Anderson, SC to lead development, validation, and optimization of paint processes for customer programs.

The role requires 5+ years in paint processes or automotive finishing, with strong Lean and problem-solving skills. You will manage fixtures, validation activities, and supplier relationships while ensuring conformance to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, materials science, or related technical field is required.
• Master's degree is a plus and can strengthen candidacy.
• Experience with automotive paint systems and industrial finishing processes is preferred.
• Proven involvement in cross-functional project development and program management.

Responsabilités

• Support development, validation, and optimization of paint processes for customer programs.
• Serve as the technical expert for paint applications, ensuring compliance with specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Lead paint fixture, jig, and masking solution development from CAD to production approval.
• Validate paint systems and process parameters for appearance and mechanical performance.
• Coordinate tooling and equipment design for paint operations and prototype builds.
• Support continuous improvement projects using Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
