Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Paint Prep I to prepare parts for painting in a manufacturing environment. The role involves wiping, sanding, inspecting, plugging, masking, and ensuring parts meet quality standards while supporting material handling tasks.

Responsibilities include hanging parts with an overhead hoist, removing debris, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in line with 6S standards. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required or preferred.
• Tugger certification required or preferred.
• Tractor certification required or preferred.
• Telescopic Material Handler License required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wipe, sand, and inspect parts for paint preparation.
• Plug and mask parts to ensure paint adhesion.
• Blow out water and debris from cavities.
• Operate overhead hoist to hang parts for painting.
• Inspect finished parts for production and quality standards.
• Assist in identifying root causes of paint defects.
