Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. in Lansing, IL seeks a Production Operator for the Large Paint Plant (LPP). You will fill batches using the automated filling room, scales/load cells, mixers, and related equipment.

Will support other operations and operate a forklift; follow SOPs and safety policies. 1st shift with occasional off-shift training; SAP/MS Access used for orders; strong benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs, batch tickets and safety policies.
• Operate automated pail filling systems, scales/load cells, mixers and related equipment.
• Fill finished goods into containers and label accurately according to IDs.
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials.
• Participate in improvement teams and propose ideas.
• Identify potential off-quality products and initiate corrective actions.
• Use SAP, Microsoft Access Database and Microsoft Office to complete orders.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in production areas.
• Perform duties in other Operations areas as needed.
• Properly close and label waste containers per NPAA procedures.
