Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator to package paint and related products by operating, setting up, adjusting, and performing QC checks while tending to machines and hand fills. The role emphasizes safe, consistent, and efficient packaging to meet specifications.

The daily work includes inspecting product quality, performing equipment changeovers, adjusting speeds and tolerances, and monitoring filling equipment for proper operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC Operations preferred.
• Ability to read and understand batch cards and communicate directions to others.
• Ability to do basic math.
• Ability to read and understand meters/readouts.
• Ability to enter computer data.
• Industrial experience is desirable.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to coordinate the work of others.
• Ability to solve problems in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and examine products for quality, packaging accuracy, conformance to specifications, and defects.
• Change over equipment or adjust machines to improve performance and quality.
• Set and adjust speed, temperature, flow, and tolerances.
• Examine job orders for quantities, production times, stock specs, and SKUs.
• Monitor filling equipment to maintain levels and detect malfunctions.
• Operate equipment at efficient speed for quality and output.
• Maintain responsibility for equipment performance and preventative maintenance.
