Job summary

LG Electronics North America is seeking a seasoned production supervisor for the Paint department in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will lead daily production planning, mentor operators and technicians, ensure material availability, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency targets across shifts.

The role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills, experience with complex equipment, and some travel. A high school diploma is required and 5+ years in production is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years of production experience.
• Experience mentoring and coaching operators.
• Strong understanding of producing complex equipment and system integration.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-evaluation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create daily Paint operations plan.
• Provide line leaders with daily start-up information.
• Manage training for Paint operators, technicians and line leaders.
• Verify raw material availability and report shortages.
• Monitor and enforce plant policies and procedures.
• Assist Manager with performance reviews of operators and leaders.
• Manage quality systems in the Paint department.
• Monitor quality and address internal customer issues.
• Achieve daily targets for Safety, Quality, Idle Time, UPH & 5S.
• Interact with other departments as needed.
• Make radio calls to PM & AGV technicians as required.
• Maintain payroll for Press employees.
• Apply corrective actions to Press staff as needed.
• Ensure materials are used efficiently.
• Enforce FI-11 & 5S standards.
• Attend production planning and other meetings.
