Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Paint Coordinator to lead a team of painters and ensure high-quality finish on assigned projects. You will direct painting activities, maintain safety standards, and handle undercoating as needed.

The role requires knowledge of painting techniques, tools, equipment, and PPE, with the ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance and reliability are expected.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for coordinating painters.
• Good organizational skills and efficiency in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Decision-making ability with minimal supervision.
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Proficient with computers and standard software.
• SAP experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of other painters.
• Perform painting applications and related activities with knowledge of techniques, tools, and safety precautions.
• Adhere to the general safety plan.
• May perform other duties including undercoating as requested by supervisor.
• Exercise independent judgment in primary responsibilities.
• Maintain high-quality work aligned with Wabash National standards.
• Supervise and work under the direction of a supervisor or department head.
• Routinely organize the workplace to maintain a clean, safe environment.
