Responsibilities

• Supervise and Coordinate: Oversee daily painting operations, ensuring production goals and quality standards are met.
• Assign Tasks & Lead Team: Distribute work assignments, train employees, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency.
• Quality Control: Inspect surfaces before and after painting, ensuring proper application and adherence to specifications.
• Surface Preparation: Ensure materials are properly prepped, including grinding, sanding, priming, and masking, for optimal paint adhesion.
• Paint Application: Oversee the correct preparation and application of paints, coatings, and finishes according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain powder coating guns, booths, all equipment within the paint shop. Be able to perform maintenance on equipment when needed to ensuring proper function and minimizing downtime.
• Review and approve employee time cards daily to ensure accuracy and timely payroll processing.
• Address attendance, performance, and conduct issues by issuing disciplinary actions and write‑ups in accordance with Lawrence Brothers, Inc. policies and procedures.
• Review and submit employee time‑off request forms in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain accurate employee training records and ensure all required training is completed and documented.
• Conduct routine shop safety meetings and reinforce company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
• Assist Human Resources with employee evaluations and performance reviews for employees under your direct supervision.
• Communicate company policies, expectations, and procedural changes to employees.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity, providing coaching and corrective action when necessary.
• Foster a safe, professional, and productive work environment while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Perform other supervisory duties as assigned by management.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols, ensuring the Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance finish quality.
