Job summary

Wincore Windows & Doors is seeking a Supervisor – Paint Room in Chicago, IL to plan, assign, and monitor the work of the paint team. This role fills in for absentees and ensures all safety guidelines are followed while directing daily production activities and performance reviews.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years painting experience with supervisory exposure, strong communication skills, and solid leadership abilities to maintain high-quality paint finishes and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of progressively responsible painting experience, including 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the painting trade.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational and leadership skills.
• Skill in the preparation and application of paints to different surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leads by example.
• Schedules, assigns, and plans the work of paint personnel performing various tasks.
• Trains employees on methods, safety regulations, and policies.
• Oversees and coaches employees; includes disciplinary actions.
• Prepares and reviews daily production reports.
• Manages timesheets and PTO/UPTO approval for direct reports.
• Enforces safety guidelines and company standards.
• Provides tools and opportunities to achieve production goals.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Participates in interview process for potential employees.
• Conducts semi-annual and annual reviews for direct reports.
