Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Northwood, IA seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair paint department equipment, conveyors, and related systems. You will use CMMS to log work, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic components, and perform planned maintenance.

Reading schematics and parts diagrams is essential; a working knowledge of Industrial Electrical and PLC is required. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing most of the day.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; six years of work-related experience may substitute for degree.
• Must have working knowledge of Industrial Electrical and PLC.
• Journeyman’s card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of work performed using CMMS and work order procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair or replace all components of Norplas equipment in the Paint Department and Mechanical Room (electrical, hydraulics, mechanical, piping, pumps, pneumatics).
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment in Paint Department and Mechanical Room per CMMS.
• Read parts breakdowns and machine schematics; use required hand tools and ensure tools and equipment are ready before starting work.
• Involved in hazardous waste management; attend annual training.
• Troubleshoot and repair paint maintenance equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintenance on conveyor systems.
• Read schematics and pass a basic math test.
