Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. in Ellsworth, KS is seeking a 1st Shift Paint Line Person to join our team. This role involves loading paint lines, prepping parts, unloading painted components, and ensuring accurate part identification for inventory control.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed, and comply with safety rules and Lean Manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Previous paint experience helpful, but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Good written and oral communication.
• Familiar with AS400.
• Ability to follow inventory control procedures.
• Attention to detail in fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Load Paint lines safely to maximum capacity per production requirements.
• Prep unfinished parts for final topcoat.
• Download painted parts and ensure correct part ID for inventory accuracy.
• Inspect painted parts for defects at unload station.
• Pack painted parts to protect arrival at customer.
• Perform Load, Prep, Unload, Material Handling & Painting tasks as required.
• Ensure hazardous waste is managed per regulations and kept area compliant.
• Follow safety regs and wear PPE as required.
