Job summary

Great Plains Mfg in Salina, KS, is seeking a 1st Shift Painter / Paint Line Person to support our new Kubota Construction Equipment paint line. The role runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Responsibilities include loading lines, prepping parts, unloading and inspecting for quality, and ensuring accurate inventory handling. Prior paint experience is helpful but not required; physical lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in painting or lean manufacturing is helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry and position parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Good written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load paint lines safely to maximum capacity per production requirements.
• Prep unfinished parts for final topcoat.
• Download painted parts safely and ensure correct identification and delivery.
• Inspect painted parts at unload for quality defects.
• Pack painted parts to ensure safe customer delivery.
• Assist with all paint line duties: Load, Prep, Unload, Material Handling & Painting.
• Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
