Job summary

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in Corona, CA is seeking a Paint Handle Cleaning Team Lead to join our maintenance team. You will set up and operate the chemical paint-handle stripping line to prepare handles for our manufacturing process.

The role trains and guides team members, ensures safety and 5S standards, coordinates with maintenance, and manages chemicals, supplies and equipment to deliver clean, defect-free handles for production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment and/or paint-striping equipment preferred.
• Ability to safely handle and store regulated materials and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written work rules, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and safely operate chemical paint-handle stripping equipment.
• Monitor and clean chemical soak and wash tanks to maintain proper operation.
• Produce clean, defect-free paint handles to support Fender's paint production process.
• Train employees on proper equipment operation, chemical handling, and monitoring/adjustment of chemical concentrations.
• Ensure all safety procedures and required PPE policies are followed.
• Handle and store regulated materials according to policies and requirements.
• Coordinate daily with Maintenance supervision regarding area performance and equipment concerns.
• Perform light equipment maintenance and identify maintenance needs for escalation.
• Order and maintain required chemicals, supplies, and materials for the operation.
• Communicate with internal customers to ensure delivery requirements and quality expectations are met.
• Maintain equipment and the work area in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
• Maintain 5S standards and keep the work area organized and ready for operation.
