Job summary

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is hiring a Paint Digital Engineer for a 36-month contract in Georgetown, Kentucky. The role involves creating offline robot programs for a robotic production process and coordinating trials with safety, quality, and cost assessments.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of technical education or equivalent experience, and are proficient in Digital Engineering and robotic paint systems. Travel across US, Mexico, and Canada is possible.

Qualifications

• 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with automated robotic paint shop application or similar.
• Experience with Digital Engineering.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

• Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Create offline robot programs for download in a robotic production process.
• Coordinate with Regional Paint Engineer study, conduct the trial, evaluate based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for sealer, UBC, and dampening coat robot processes.
• Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for primer, base, clear and interior robot processes.
• Lead meetings with related groups, document creation, and support plants in the process.
• Travel to US, Mexico and Canada as needed; report to the Digital Engineering Manager.
• Work with minimal direction and previous experience is a must.
