Job summary
Rivian is seeking a Manager in the Paint Manufacturing Engineering team to lead the design and implementation of manufacturing processes at Rivian’s Paint shop, initially in Normal, IL with relocation to Atlanta in 12-18 months.
You will build a team delivering paint automation technologies for launching and producing multiple vehicle systems, while scaling facilities for high-volume EV assembly and improving efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team.
- Experience with high and low volume manufacturing (proto-typing, OEE, equipment selection, DFM, 8D, CAD).
Responsibilities
- Lead part of the team designing and implementing manufacturing processes for Rivian's Paint shop.
- Build and manage a team delivering paint automation technologies.
- Define and execute milestones for scaling world-class manufacturing facilities for high-volume EV assembly.
- Execute product and process validation to achieve manufacturing objectives.
- Collaborate with design teams to influence product design for manufacturability.
