Job summary

Augusta National Golf Club is seeking a Sales Attendant for the Masters Tournament. You will greet patrons, showcase products, and guide them on sizing and features to enhance their Masters experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to work with a diverse guest base and team, while complying with club standards and procedures. This is a shopper-facing, on-site, seasonal position during event operations.

Qualifications

The Sales Attendant is primarily responsible for presenting products to patrons, emphasizing features, fabrication and care instructions, ensuring all service meets Club standards.

Pay Rate: $10.00/hr

Essential Functions of the Job
  • Greets and directs all members, players, caddies and patrons in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  • Offers sales assistance to patrons by communicating specific benefits and features of products.
  • Assists patrons with size selection, providing options for consideration.
  • Asks questions in order to improve the Masters experience, expressing sincere concern for the needs and interests of the patron.
  • Answers patron questions with appropriate answers.
  • Learns all product locations within the Golf Shop in order to direct patrons accordingly.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all Club business.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to upholding professional standards in the work environment.
  • Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.
  • Attends mandatory orientation and training sessions.
  • Required to work schedule as defined by department to include holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge/Attributes (required unless stated otherwise)
  • Prior sales experience is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with both foreign and domestic patrons.
  • Displays interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, cold, rain or other adverse conditions.
  • Requires stooping, bending, lifting and transporting of objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Displays integrity and sincerity interacting with others.
