Job summary

Augusta National Golf Club is hiring for a Server position to support the Masters Tournament. You will greet guests, explain menu items, and provide timely service to patrons in a world-class setting.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct members, players, caddies, and patrons in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain full knowledge of menu, bar selections, and order abbreviations.
• Enter orders into the kitchen and communicate special requests.
• Serve food and beverages using proper service sequence and suggest desserts and coffee.
• Be attentive to patrons and offer additional items as needed.
• Set tables according to restaurant standards and ensure cleanliness.
• Assist with opening/closing tasks and side duties as required.
• Attend all pre-meal meetings with Restaurant Supervisor.
• Adhere to confidentiality and professional standards; participate in mandatory trainings.

Job description

The Server is primarily responsible for providing friendly, hospitable and timely service, ensuring all service meets Club standards.

Pay Rate: $14.00/hr

Essential Functions of the Job

• Greets and directs all members, players, caddies and patrons in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• Maintains full knowledge of all menu, bar selections and standardized abbreviations on orders.
• Places orders into the kitchen and communicates any special requests.
• Serves food and beverages using the proper sequence of service and serving techniques suggesting desserts, coffee and other menu items after meal.
• Remains attentive to patrons during the dining experience, providing patrons with any additional items as needed.
• Sets tables according to restaurant standards.
• Ensures safety, cleanliness, sanitation and presentation of all restaurant and kitchen spaces.
• Completes all opening, closing and side work duties.
• Attends all pre-meal meetings as requested by the Restaurant Supervisor.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains the confidentiality of all Club business.
• Demonstrates a commitment to upholding professional standards in the work environment.
• Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.
• Attends mandatory orientation and training sessions.
• Required to work schedule as defined by department to include holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.

• Augusta National's practice requires candidates to be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior serving experience preferred.

• Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, cold, rain or other adverse conditions.
