Job summary

Owensboro Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care in our Pain Management Muhlenberg department. This per diem/PRN role supports patient care plans with collaboration across disciplines, ensuring safety and quality.

Expect to work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with flexibility as needed. Candidates must be licensed in Kentucky, hold an Associate's degree or higher in nursing, and complete BLS within 45 days of employment.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Kentucky upon hire.
• Associate's degree or higher in nursing; diploma accepted.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of employment.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education based on age and culture.
• Performs duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
