Advanced Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a certified Physician Assistant for its Virginia/ Maryland offices. The role focuses on comprehensive pain management, including exams, medication management, injections, and patient education.

Candidates must be licensed as a Physician Assistant with a Nurse Practitioner program credential and state licensure in VA/MD. Prior pain management experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on autonomous, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on pain management techniques and self-care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.

Candidates with previous experience in pain management and/or orthopedics are highly desirable.

Physician Assistant Requirements: must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current license to practice in the State of Virginia/ Maryland.

The Pain Management Physician Assistant duties include but not limited to:

• Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns;

Reviewing Patient's Medical History

• Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines;
• Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain;
• Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options;
• Performing joint injections;
• Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies;
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients;
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development.
