Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients presenting with pain-related concerns.
• Review patients' medical history and coordinate care.
• Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief per protocols.
• Consult with other providers before deciding on therapy or treatment plans.
• Utilize non-invasive pain management options when appropriate.
• Perform joint injections as needed.
• Educate patients on pain management techniques and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Stay updated with advances in pain management through ongoing learning.

Advanced Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a certified Physician Assistant for our Delaware/Virginia/ Maryland offices.

Candidates with previous experience in pain management and/or orthopedics are highly desirable.

Physician Assistant Requirements:

must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program with current license to practice in the State of Delaware/Virginia/ Maryland.

The Pain Management Physician Assistant duties include but not limited to:

• Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns;
• Reviewing Patient's Medical History
• Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines;
• Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain;
• Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options;
• Performing joint injections;
• Provide patient education on pian management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies;
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients;
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Active DE/VA/MD license;
• Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred;
• Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
