Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support the WFBMG University Group Practice: Pain Medicine: Med Mgmt in North Carolina. The role involves patient preparation, vitals, lab procedures, and assisting clinicians to ensure smooth clinic flow.

You will administer routine medications under physician/APP orders, document patient information, and support a high standard of patient care within a fast-paced setting. Competitive benefits and work-life balance are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Current MA certifications listed in job posting (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, NAHP, NRMA, NR**C etc.) are accepted.

Aufgaben

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam; obtains vitals and documents health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams, scratch testing, EMG, colory, etc.
• Administers routine medications under physician orders or standing orders.
• Maintains clinic flow and communicates with the health care team and patient.
• May perform basic clinical support tasks under supervision (phlebotomy, EKG, etc.).
