Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support the Pain Medicine: Med Mgmt clinic. Responsibilities include patient prep, vital signs, specimen collection, assisting physicians with procedures, and administering routine medications under orders.

Must have BLS and CMA/CCMA/RMA certifications as listed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with an accredited Medical Assistant program completion.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and EMR navigation.
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures within Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams and document vitals.
• Assist clinicians with procedures and phlebotomy tasks as needed.
• Administer routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Support clinical workflow and refer questions to RN/Physician as appropriate.
• Maintain patient flow and clear communication with the health care team.
