Epic Pain Management in Laredo, TX is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to oversee daily clinical operations and mentor MA staff. The role supports providers in pain management procedures and ensures efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.

The ideal candidate has a current CMA/RMA certification, pain management experience, and prior leadership experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred for this busy, multi-lingual practice.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
• Pain management experience required.
• Previous lead, team lead, supervisory, or healthcare leadership experience required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
• Experience assisting with pain management injections and in-office procedures preferred.
• Proficient with EMR systems and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Medical Assistant staff.
• Coordinate clinical workflow, patient flow, and daily assignments.
• Train and onboard new Medical Assistants.
• Assist providers with pain management procedures and in-office treatments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and patient records.
• Support inventory management for medications and supplies.
