California Pain is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients in a pain management clinic in La Mesa, CA. The role emphasizes compassionate communication, appointment coordination, insurance verification, and collaboration with clinical staff to streamline care.

The ideal candidate brings experience in medical office environments, strong customer service, and proficiency with EMR systems, contributing to a compliant and patient-centered frontline experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1+ year experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (preferred).
• Experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or specialty care (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person and via phone, email, and patient portal.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, procedures, and imaging as directed.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and outside records.
• Track cancellations, no-shows, and reschedules.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients.
