DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to clear obstacles and support road, airfield, and building projects.

You will operate bulldozers, roadgraders, cranes, and other heavy equipment, learn basic construction methods, and earn while you learn through military training and tuition assistance.

Training includes 9 weeks Basic Training and 9 weeks Advanced Individual Training, with benefits and a steady paycheck.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform demanding duties.
• Knowledge of soil types and grade stakes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze grade stakes and place them according to plans.
• Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
