Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Installer to work on-site for commercial customers, setting up and programming Integrated Security fire and security systems. You will dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed and collaborate with teams to ensure safe, on-time installations.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Installs devices and programs integrated security systems on site.
• Dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required.
• Follows wiring diagrams and hookup procedures.
• Tests system operation and coordinates with the monitoring center.
• Reads building and electrical blueprints as required.
• Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles related records.
• May manage installation teams on larger projects.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced installers.
