Job summary

Boulay Financial Advisors, LLC in Mankato, MN is seeking a Tax Intern to assist with preparing income tax returns for individuals and businesses and to support tax research and planning projects during the January–April window.

Interns gain hands-on experience, participate in in-house training, and receive mentorship from our Tax Department; internships are paid, full-time, with housing and class scheduling considerations.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting and/or 150 credit hours
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid academic record
• Completion of intermediate accounting course(s)
• Completion of some Tax and/or Audit course(s) by time of internship
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Exemplary communication and organizational skills
• Strong desire to learn and develop professionally
• Motivated to serve clients
• Desire to be a team player

Responsibilities

• Prepare income tax returns (individual, partnership, multistate, corporate, and other)
• Assist with quarterly planning
• Respond to inquiries from Federal and State taxing authorities
• Tax research projects
• Special projects as assigned
