Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is offering a paid Summer Internship Program in Software Engineering across multiple U.S. locations. The 12-week, onsite program is for motivated students who are enrolled in college or are recent graduates, with a 3.0+ GPA and preference for juniors or above.

Interns will work with AV teams on real projects, develop software from design to testing, and may receive relocation and housing stipends depending on location and team needs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming foundations in Python, C++, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, coding, testing, and debugging of software components.
• Contribute to development of tools and applications for AV robotics and aerospace platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers across software, hardware, and systems teams to integrate and test capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control workflows.
• Help develop scripts or automation to improve team workflows.
