Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan invites students to join its skilled trade internship program designed for those pursuing an associate degree or certification. These are temporary, full-time paid positions that run from May through August, with placements across Arizona and other sites.

You will work under direct supervision, supporting technicians, engineers, and operations, installing, calibrating and maintaining industrial automation equipment such as DCS, HMI, PLC, and instrumentation, while gaining

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an associate degree or certification program in electronics, electrical, instrumentation, or related field.
Recent graduate (within 12 months) with an associate degree or certification in electronics, electrical, instrumentation, or related field.
Ability to understand and communicate verbal and written work and safety-related instructions in English.

Responsibilities

Interface between technicians, engineers, operations and maintenance personnel.
Assist with installation, calibration, diagnostics, and maintenance of industrial automation equipment.
Assist with, troubleshoot, design, and program process automation systems.
Gain exposure to project management and maintenance workflow processes.
Participate in safety and environmental programs.
Perform other duties as required.
