Job summary

Excellus BCBS in New York offers a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program designed for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns work on meaningful projects, receive mentoring, attend development workshops, and explore tracks across business, IT, analytics, and other fields.

From June to August, interns gain professional exposure, networking opportunities, and real-world assignments, with up to 40 hours per week. Housing is not provided, and remote work is considered case-by-case.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student enrollment with good academic standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and deliver high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Support RFP/I activities, evaluate vendors and spend categories; assist sourcing initiatives.
• Compile and report spend analytics and learn new tasks daily.
• Create and deliver a presentation upon internship completion.
• Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects.
• Complete assignments based on business needs and department priorities.
