Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is offering a Generation Engineering Intern position to gain hands-on experience in power generation engineering. You will work with seasoned engineers on projects that improve equipment performance, reliability, and sustainability across non-nuclear facilities.

The paid, temporary internship runs 10 weeks in the summer. Students receive mentorship, professional development, site visits, and opportunities for networking within APS and the broader energy sector.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate degree program in engineering.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs. May assist in preparing business/engineering plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations and studies.
• Assists in research, business documentation, studies or technical reviews. Conducts analyses, investigations, verifications and summarizes results or findings in written reports or oral presentations.
• Utilizes internal resources to learn business/engineering operations/functions and apply learning in completion of work assignments.
• Coordinates efforts with other disciplines, and/or departments in achieving project goals and task assignments.
• Performs other related duties as required.
