Job summary

Textron Lycoming Engines is seeking a 2027 Intern in Mechanical Engineering for the Lycoming, Williamsport, PA location. You will support new product development and existing product enhancements, create and maintain engine BOMs, and participate in engineering changes and ECO processing.

You will interact with customers on designs, assist FAA certification efforts, and coordinate with CM/Regulations to achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T drafting standards.
• Familiarity with BOM creation/maintenance using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
• Teamwork, presentation skills, and ability to resolve conflicts.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments related to new product development or enhancements.
• Create and maintain engine BOMs.
• Review engineering changes and revisions to procedures and drawings.
• Create and execute ECOs using PLM software.
• Consult with customers on designs and specifications.
• Assist ODA group with FAA certification effort.
• Coordinate with Director, CM and Regulations to meet goals.
• Interface with suppliers as needed.
