Job summary

Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) invites rising engineers to join its Summer Engineering Internship program in Houston. You’ll work on real design, production, testing, and continuous improvement projects in a global manufacturing setting.

As an Engineering Intern you will contribute to electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing projects, supported by mentors, gaining hands-on experience, and learning lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, organizations, internships, or extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Assist with product design, analysis, testing, and validation activities.
• Participate in process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Analyze engineering data and develop recommendations to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Create and update technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Observe and support manufacturing operations, field activities, or laboratory testing.
• Present project results and recommendations to engineering leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
