Job summary

Dubak Electrical Group is offering a paid, 10-week Summer Internship in Electrical Design in La Grange Park, Illinois. You will design, draft, and coordinate power distribution and low-voltage systems from service entrance to branch circuits, using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

The program runs June 7, 2027, for 10 weeks, with mentorship from senior electrical designers. Expect NEC-focused calculations, BIM/VDC coordination, and exposure to project management, prefabrication, and controls teams.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing in college.
• Solid academic record with GPA 3.2 or higher.
• Exposure to AutoCAD or Revit is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and power plans in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform NEC calculations: feeder/branch sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, service load.
• Model conduit, cable tray, and equipment in Revit; assist BIM/VDC coordination.
• Support structured cabling and low-voltage layouts; prepare submittal packages.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews of drawings and learn IFM-grade drawing package checks.
• Develop bills of materials used by Prefabrication interns.
